Ch.6- Fri. 13- Naru and Sasu

Naruto was in a bad mood because his Social Studies teacher had caught him reading Ouran High School Host Club manga in class. He'd been hooked on it from the moment Haruhi had broken the 800 000 000 yen vase. But he was in an even worse mood after he'd grappled with his costume for a while. "This isn't working!" he hissed. Throwing his costume under his bed, Naruto grabbed his swimsuit and headed for the pool. As he walked in, he discovered Sasuke floating face up in the water. Sasuke acknowledged him with a wave of his fingers. Naruto nodded in reply, then launched himself into the water, displacing a large amount of it over Sasuke. As both surfaced, Naruto expected Sasuke to be angry, but then he noticed that the complacent smirk that Sasuke usually wore on his face was missing, and that Sasuke didn't seem quite right.

Sasuke had come out of school with an air of purpose- to both work on his costume, and to ask Tenten to the Halloween dance. Ever since he had danced with her in Ch. 4, he'd had a crush on her. Yes, the one girl who wouldn't die to go out with him. Anyway, he'd up to her after school with every ounce of Sasuke-ness he could muster. "Hey, Tenten." he had called, catching up to her. "Yeah?" She had turned and responded. "Hi, Sasuke." she had said, smiling at him. "What's up?" Sasuke had almost lost it right then, but had kept his cool and asked "I was wondering if you wanted to go to the Halloween dance with me." in an offhanded way. "Oh...umm...." Tenten had glanced around, as if looking to get away. "Can I think about that and get back to you?" "Yeah, OK. See you." Sasuke had said, and he had watched her run after her teammates yelling "Neji! Wait for me, guys!" Sasuke opened his eyes and blinked, to find Naruto leaning over him. "You OK?" he asked. Sasuke opened his mouth to spit out a retort, and then paused. "I don't know." he told Naruto, and then explained what had happened. Naruto thought for a moment, and then said "Well, there's not a lot you can do, is there? So don't worry about it." Then he sighed and moved towards the ladder. "I'd better get back to work on my costume." he said "Or I'll never get it done." "The uniform giving you trouble?" asked Sasuke. Naruto looked shocked that Sasuke knew what he was talking about. "Hey, I like Ouran High School Host Club too, you know. And considering I'm 'Mom', who better to help 'Dad' with his costume?" Naruto laughed. 10 minutes later, they were both in their room, working on the uniforms. Then Hinata walked in.....
