Ch.7- Fri. 13- InoSakuTenHina

After school, Ino had gone home tired, and puzzled about her costume. Thinking hard, she'd opened the motel room door and promptly tripped over Sakura and Kurenai, who were crouched on the floor, enthusiastically attacking something with scissors. Extracting herself from the heap, Ino looked again at the cloth they'd been cutting, and it became instantly clear to her what Sakura's costume was. "How exactly do you intend to get long, blond hair?" Ino asked, flopping onto the bed she and Sakura shared. "Wig." said Sakura triumphantly. Ino couldn't help but grin. "Well, you're the mechanic." she said. "I have no idea what to do about my arm and leg." Then Kurenai burst out laughing. "If I'm right about what you two FMA addicts are being, then you guys do know that you're one of the most popular couples?" Both Ino and Sakura succumbed to the giggles as Ino retrieved her bright red cloth and started to cut. Presently Sakura spoke. "Lee asked me out today. To the dance, actually." Ino snorted. "Well, what are you going to do?" "I dunno." was Sakura's answer. "I mean, he is getting better, and.....oh, what the heck, I'll say yes." "Well, that was easily resolved." Ino murmured. "Although, I can't believe you just said that." Sakura laughed, but Ino did not. "What's up with you?" she asked. Ino sighed. "Shikamaru asked me out to the dance, too. And I don't know what to do. I mean, he's my friend, but I don't really want it to be that way..." "Why don't you just tell him that you want to go as friends?" Sakura offered. "Maybe..." said Ino, but was cut off by Hinata opening the door and dragging a reluctant Tenten into the room. "What happened?" Sakura, Ino and Kurenai asked. Tenten would not meet their eyes. "You two will probably kill me, but..." she looked up and met their eyes "Sasuke asked me to go to the dance with him today." Sakura and Ino looked at each other, stunned, and knew that the same thoughts were flashing through both their heads. With an effort, Ino turned, smiled at Tenten, and asked "Do you want to go with him?" "I dunno." Tenten shrugged. "I mean, I like Neji, but I don't think I have the courage to ask him out and it's not like Sasuke's ugly or anything..." she grinned at the shocked looks on Sakura's and Ino's faces. "If it's alright with you both, I'll say yes." Both nodded. Grinning once more, Tenten flung herself to the floor and pulled her costume stuff out from underneath her bed. "If we're going costume shopping, I'll need black hair dye." she said to no one in particular. "And I'll need brown." Hinata added, startling everyone. "Who are you being?" asked Kurenai. Hinata produced a costume that looked suspiciously like Sasuke's and Naruto's. "Actually, I need to go ask Naruto something. Back in a few." she slipped out of the room, and went down the hall to the room where Sasuke and Naruto were working. She knocked on the door. "Come in." called Sasuke, and Hinata opened the door, to find Naruto bending over a uniform and Sasuke examining a pair of glasses. He put them on, looked at Hinata, and pushed them up. "Do I look like the Shadow King?" he asked. Hinata grinned and nodded. "Can I see your uniforms for a minute?" she asked. "I'm having problems with mine." "Another Ouran addict!" cheered Naruto as he made room for her. "A scholarship student, hmm?" This close to him, Hinata could only nod. But she did open her mouth.....

...and came dancing back into the girl's room a few minutes later yelling "I'm going to the dance with him! I'm going to the dance with him!"
